3. Belief in your work super-charges engagement and persistence
If you believe strongly in something, you are willing to engage it. Engagement unlocks the doors that have been previously locked and seemed impossible to get through. As you take a small step and engage enthusiastically with your own life and desires, you set the gears of fortune and success in motion.
When you do not believe strongly in something, you are less willing to put in the time and effort to make a difference. If you believe strongly and commit to engaging with the problem, it becomes a wonderful challenge.
Best selling authors Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen, creators of the famous Chicken Soup for the Soul series were rejected more than 130 times before their books became a global sensation. Sales were driven initially by word-of-mouth by people who loved the work.
The final success of the books would not have been possible without the amazing power of belief and persistence of the authors. If Canfield and Hansen did not believe in their book, they would not have persisted in engaging with the problem of putting their work out and eventually making it a success.
Engagement in a problem and the resulting persistence against all odds is the indicator of success.
Action tips:
Consider altering your concept of problem solving. Instead of labeling a problem as impossible, consider that the level of engagement may allow the problem to be solved and unlocked gradually.
Understand that the level of belief makes engagement and persistence possible.
Become aware of any patterns of lack of self-belief and limited engagement that may be preventing you from becoming successful.
Now over to you…
Do you think self-belief and expectation have a role in your life?
Do you know any people in your life that could benefit with enhanced self-belief and positive expectation?

I think we can all benefit from more self belief and positive expectation. I think it keeps expanding, if you have some self belief it can lead to success which can lead to more self belief.

Hi Michelle,
I think you are right! This does build up on itself. And on the flip side, self-doubt and lack of confidence also have the potential to snowball and build into a big problem. And the successes and failures reinforce some of these beliefs and behaviors.
